Long before fairways were cut, ironstone was mined nearby and carried to the Skinningrove blast furnaces. Later, the deep mineral seams of Boulby continued the area’s connection to industry, with the northern railway quietly threading through the land, a reminder of the enduring relationship between people, industry, and the landscape. Today, Hunley is a course that honours the real qualities of tradition. We embrace running golf, fair challenge, and a relaxed culture.
