This weekend Hunley held its final championships for the summer with the Juniors, after a showery Saturday and true Hunley windy conditions all the boys did well! The championships were fought hard over the 2 days with Tom Peggs winning the title. With a great Sunday, Harrison Brown came second gross, with Callum Lessels winning the nett trophy. Well done lads!
British Open for the Women happened this week at Kingsbarns. In-Kyung Kim takes the title with a stunning -18 for the week, the young South Korean took her first major. Jodi Ewart Shadoff having an amazing -8 sunday to come second with -16, the 29 year old from Northallerton managed to confirm her place in the Solheim Cup a long side Georgia Hall.

The men competed in the WGC Bridgestone Invitational this weekend at Firestone. Mcilroy tested his new caddy Harry Diamond this weekend which lead to him being in contention, however without a win he claims to be positive with what’s to come. Equalling the course record -7 Hideki Matsuyama took the title with the stunning Sunday round. Starting the day off 2 shots behind Zach Johnson and Thomas Pieters, no one could come close to his charge on the final day. Matsuyama claimed that it may have been the best round of golf he has ever played!
