Pitch Marks and Divots
It is common etiquette to replace all divots and repair all pitch marks on the course. This is to repair the greens and fairways so the quality of the greens and fairways are kept to a good standard throughout the year.
If you do not have a pitchfork, they are available from the Golf Shop with the Hunley Logo on.
First Week of Winter Merit Table Results
The first week of the winter merit table was played on Sunday over the Morgans course and with Lee Preston out to defend his title, everyone had to be on good form to get a good start to the merit.
Gary Playforth was the pick of the players winning with a Nett 70. Gordon Dunne an Steve Bushby made up the rest of the podium with Nett 71’s.
Michael Douglas won the nearest the pin and Dale Coxon and last years hamp Lee Preston took the share of the two’s.
Pink Ladies Members Charity Competition
The Pink Ladies Members Charity competition will take place on Sunday 29th October and tee times are available from 7am until 11am
Entry is £5 CASH per member on the day. £3 of the entry fee will go to the usual sweep, NTP & 2’s. The extra £2 will go staright to the charity, Cancer Research.
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Overall Winner
- 1st Gent Pair
- 2nd Gents Pair
- 1st Lady Pair
- 2nd Lady Pair
- Best Dressed (The pinker the better)
The format of the day is a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford. This means that you will play with a playing partner of the SAME gender and whoever has the best score on the hole, puts that score down for the team.
Ladies and Gents can share tee times but players must be the same sex for a partner.
