Magoo’s Day
On Saturday Hunley hosted the Annual Magoo’s Day Competition over the Morgans Course. It was a fantastic day with over 160 players playing. I think we can all agree it is one of the best days in the Golfing Calendar. A big thank you and Well done to Simon Wilkinson and Craig Hartas for their hard work in organising the whole event.
The Mens winners were ‘WMD +1’ with a great score of 52.9. Runners up were the team named ‘STAGS’ with a score of 55.5.
The Ladies Winning Team was ‘Complete and Putter Madness’ with a score of 61.9.
The Junior Winners for each division were Jack Farrel, James Hall, Luke Joyce and Ethan McDonald.
We also had a Hole in One Prize on Toon’s Tier with anyone getting a hole in one receiving a brand New Vauxhall Astra. Mick Money achieved this and walked away with a brand new car! A big well done from everyone at Hunley!
I do not have a final figure for the amount of money raised yet, however I have been assured the day was very worthwhile and we look forward to 2019 already!
Daily Mail Foursomes Cancelled
The Daily Mail Foursomes Competition has been cancelled this Saturday. This is due to very low interest. We will have a look at this competition for the future. If you had booked in to play and still want a casual game please contact the Golf Shop.
Macmillan Nurses on Sunday
This Sunday we have the Macmillan Nurses Competition. It is 18 Holes Medal over the Morgans Course. Entry is now open online and both Men and Ladies may enter. Tee times are available from 07.00 – 11.24.
