July has certainly been a great month for golf with plenty of warm sunshine to be out enjoying the course. With both Captains Day and Club Championship in July, along with plenty of other competitions and matches, it is the most important month of the year for our membership.

June has been a very dry month with only 9 mm of rain falling in total. Although the current drought brings about some challenges, it has gone some way to making up for the first 5 months of 2018, with plenty of beautiful sunny days to enjoy the course, which has been in fine condition.

We reached the time of year when the course really comes to life and also when all the wildlife is at it's most prolific. In this months update, we will take a look at the interesting things going on around the course at Hunley and in the greenkeeping department.
