Maureen Smith Funeral Arrangements
Maureen’s funeral will be held at Easington Àll Saints Church at 1pm on Thursday 14th September .The family will go to the Crematorium after the service and join everyone at Grinkle Park Hotel later.
Founders Bowl & Medal Results
Congratulations to Michael Money pn winning the Founders Bowl with 34 points.
Elliot Duck won the Medal with a Nett 69 beating Ryan Chapman on a Back 9 Countback. This was held running alongside the Founders Bowl. In addition, credit to the only female player in the competition Julie Hogan with a solid Nett 70.
Well done to all the players that took part!
Grainger Trophy Results
Congratulations to Tony Zutshi and Anne Weatherill on winning the Mixed Greensomes formatted, Grainger Trophy! Tony and Anne finished with a cracking 45 points.
Jean Jefferson & Mike Weatherill were the runners up with 41 points.
Rabbits & Tigers League is all over!
Congratulations to Scott Oglesby on winning the Adrian Hill Trophy (Rabbits League) and to Chris Macfarlane Runner -Up edging out Geoff Kirton by virtue of higher placed finishes.
Congratulations to Tony Lannon on winning The Tigers League and to Gary Playforth Runner-up, edging out Kevin Duffy on the final night.
Thank you to Ray Harker, Dave Pearson and Steve Swales on all the help with the results and admin with the series over the summer!
I hope all the players enjoyed the summer series and we look forward to it starting again in early April!
Cook Shield Entry Open
Entry will be in the Pro Shop. Both names are to be put down on sign-up along with £20 cash (£10 per man) which covers entry throughout the year.
The format is a 4ball better-ball medal (90% handicap allowance) meaning you play with same partner throughout the competition. If you would like to be paired with a partner, please put your name on the ‘looking for a partner sheet’ in the locker room or let a member of the Hunley Golf Team know and we will try to pair you up with a fellow member.
Vice Captain 2017/18 Nomination Open!
Nominations for the role of Men’s & Ladies Vice Captain for 2017/18 are now open and you’re invited to submit your own nomination via email to me at [email protected]. You can either nominate yourself or anybody that you believe would enjoy the opportunity to be the captain of Hunley!
Nominations close on the Friday 29th September 2017 at Noon. Nominations will then be put to vote for who will be Captain for the 2018/19 season.
