Old Mutual Wealth Medal Result
With beautiful course conditions & a mix of wind and cloudy sunshine, Louis Winspear took the win with a Nett 65. He also had the lowest gross score in the field with a Gross 76. Congratulations Louis!
Matthew Gates had the best Nett score in Division 1 with a Nett 71. Ian Oakley had the best Nett score in Division 2 with a Nett 68 and John Davies had the best Nett score in Division 3 with a Nett 73.
Many of you will have seen Lee Payne down on Guibel tee box with a dislocated knee. I’m delighted to say that with the help of Andrew Hailstone and the paramedics, he is recovering well and I hope we see him swinging on the course very soon. Get well soon Lee!
Ladies Weekend Team Triumph at Hunley!
The Ladies Weekend League team, consisting of Sheila Wilkinson, Julie Hogan and Helen Oakes, played at home against Thirsk & Northallerton. It was a very close match with 2 games being decided on the last hole.
The final result was a 2 – 1 win for Hunley. Congratulations Ladies!
The Ladies Weekend League team have also beaten Skipton at home yesterday 2 – 1. My thanks goes to Pam Whittingham who stood in at the last minute for the injured Anne Marshall, and to Julie Hogan who made up the team along with Sheila Wilkinson.
Union Team result away at Darlington
The Union Team travelled to Darlington Golf Club and the guys came back from last week’s horrible result to get a 12-12 draw against a good team.
Week off next week then Richmond away the week after!
Onwards and upwards fellas!
Seniors have 3 wins on the Bounce
Another good win for the Seniors TSGU team against Saltburn at home. We won 4, drew 1, lost 1 with a good hole differential in our favour so we scored an additional bonus point to give us a win of 10-3.
The conditions were horrendous, with very high winds and intermittent rain squalls. With that in mind the standard of golf was very high.
Saltburn were very complimentary about the course and refreshments. I’d just like to thank all that played today, giving us a great start to the season.
MND Day this Saturday
This Saturday sees the annual MND Charity Day.
The Tee sheet is pretty much full. There will be a raffle prize table after the golf and all prizes/donations are welcome and can be left in the Golf Shop at any time throughout the week.
I hope to see many of you there in support.
