Captains Day coming up!
Saturday 14th July 2018 will be Captain Steve Linfords Captains Charity Day.
With this years Captains Charity being Marie Curie, the theme of the day is Yellow. You can wear a yellow hat, yellow shirt, yellow trousers or yellow pants! Alternatively, you can make a donation at the golf club and collect a yellow daffodil to wear in the day.
Tee times will be open from 7am until 2pm and you will be able to book in 8 days in advance to the day. All members are welcome to play in the event and ladies may play with gents. There will be seperate prizes for gents and ladies. The format is an individual stableford.
The plan for the evening this year is similar to previous years. Guests will arrive at Hunley for 7pm with the presentation beginning at 7.30pm. Following this, ticket holders will head up to the Lookout room for a band night with a BBQ. If you have any dietary requirements do let me know.
This year we have the local band SHIVER with us.
Tickets for the Band & BBQ are priced at £15 an must be purchased before the day.

Club Championship – 21st & 22nd July
The time has come to again find out who is Hunley’s champion golfer for the year. This year’s Club Championship will take place over the weekend of the 21st and 29th of July 2018. Michael Hay defends the title he won in such style last year and I am sure the championship across all sections will be fiercely contested.
Entry is now open online, tee times will be in Handicap order and please only book for DAY ONE ONLY:
Rabbits Quaich (Gents)- Handicaps 18 to 28 – 7:00 am to 8:52 am
Brymor Trophy (Gents) Handicaps 11 to 17- 9:00 am to 10:28 am
Ladies-All Handicaps-10:36 am-11:24 am
Club Championship (Gents) Handicaps Handicaps 10 or Less 11:32 am to 13:56
The draw will be made at 5pm on Wednesday 18th of July and emailed to all entrants. The draw will be posted on all noticeboards. Late entries will go onto a reserve list.
The order for round 2 will be be the same tee times for players but players with a handicap of 10 or less will be dependant on day one scoring and the draw for round two will be emailed to all entrants on completion of day 1.
The Club Championship is open to juniors with a handicap of 10 or less.
No same gent or lady can win both best gross and the best nett prize.
Any competitor is eligible to win the club championship, but the Brymor Trophy and Rabbits Quaich can only be won by those within the respective handicap divisions.
The format is 36 hole medal.
Entry fee is £6 per person payable on the first day
Please see below the rules in the event of a tie. It is the player’s responsibility to make themselves available for the play off which will follow immediately after the last group’s have completed their 2nd round.
*IN THE EVENT OF A TIE(S) FOR FIRST PLACE IN ANY DIVISION, THE PLAYERS INVOLVED WILL PROCEED IMMEDIATELY TO A PLAYOFF OVER HOLES 1,2,3 AND 4.
*IF A TIE STILL REMAINS THEN SUDDEN DEATH WILL APPLY BY PLAYING ONWARDS OVER HOLES 5 TO 18 AS NECESSARY UNTIL THE RESULT IS DECIDED.
*FOR OTHER THAN FIRST PLACES TIES WILL BE DECIDED ON THE CARDS FOR THE 2nd ROUND.
*PRACTICE ON THE COURSE PRIOR TO AND BETWEEN THE 1st AND 2nd ROUNDS IS PROHIBITED.
